Is Debt Cures a scam?

Hello-

Most infomercials I see I am usually very skeptical. When I saw the one for Debt Cures I was more than skeptical. I know about Kevin Trudeau's criminal history. I know he has defrauded other people into giving him money.

He is also forbidden from selling products on TV as well.

Knowing all this, why would anyone even consider buying a book on how to get out of debt from a former scammer? Is this just another one of his scams?

I reluctantly ordered the book anyways. If it costs me $42 and I get just one tip to help me reduce or eliminate some of my debt then it will have paid for itself many times over. The fact is that about 60% of us are in credit card debt and that the average amount owed on our credit cards is about $6000.

If this book can give me just one tip to help lower my interest rate or waive a late fee or over the credit limit fee then it will be worth it.

As far as the free money that KT talks about so much in the infomercial, I will still be skeptical about that one. Why would the government give me free money to pay my bills? They do give money to people that are going to use it to help other people - teaching literacy, starting businesses, etc. But not giving away free grant money just so you can make your credit card payments for stuff you probably should not have bought in the first place.

Even if they did give away free money, that would only fix your debt situation for a bit because you probably won't change your habits and be back loaded with credit card debt in a few years.

Debt Cures does not offer slow and methodical ways to get out of debt and improve your credit score. It offers several tips and shortcuts to rapidly increase your credit score and eliminate your debt.

And isn't that what we are all interested in? Fast results with very little effort? Sign me up.

The book is worth the $42 or $30 if you buy it on eBay provided you use the material in it.
